Pratt and Whitney has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, GTF Afterspanet Accounting.
The position will be a hybrid position based out of our East Hartford, Connecticut campus location.
What You Will Do:
The GTF Afterspanet Accounting team in the P&W Commercial Finance organization is responsible for monthly financial reporting and analysis of all aspects of the GTF Afterspanet business including a portfolio of approximately 40 long-term maintenance contracts valued at over $60B.
Our team is looking for a strong manager to provide accounting support to the GTF Afterspanet business in its forecasted exponential growth over the next several years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end closing, reporting and analysis activities related to the afterspanet process for the PW1100 program.
- Monitor and assess the impact of business process changes on the control environment to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor and review general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accounts are reconciled in an accurate and timely manner.
- Spearhead process and system improvements and creation of processes needed to support growing volume and new business requirements.
- Partner with and provide reporting to internal and external customers including Engine Services Finance, FP&A, and program partners on various aspects of the GTF afterspanet accounting activities.
- Support ad hoc projects and business transactions to support the growth and evolution of the GTF afterspanet.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required with at least 8+ years of relevant work experience; OR an Masters degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- CPA.
- Experience in SAP and OneStream.
- Revenue recognition accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to communicate to a wide range of audience groups.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
