Job Description:

POSITION PURPOSE

Manages all contract maintenance services for the Company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Monitors quality, compliance and regulatory aspects between the Company and third party maintenance providers including relationship management, technical issues, schedule conflicts, quality issues, etc.
  • Develops requests for proposals outlining the scope of work, plus terms and conditions.
  • Invoice approvals for OCM expense
  • Identifies potential new contractors. For both supplemental staffing at republic stations and on call maintenance.
  • Oversees vendor selection and evaluation.
  • Provides contractors with the proper information to ensure that quality standards are met.
  • Reviews the activities of vendors and its employees to ensure they are abiding by the terms of the agreement.
  • Responds to cost and feasibility requests and obtains vendor quotations.
  • Responsible for annual tooling purchases and standardization across republic locations.
  • Budgets, performs ROI, and submits proposals of new and improved tooling.
  • Manage department overseeing republic GSE including GPU, water sanitization, tugs, lifts, and water cabinets
    • Responsible for repair, maintenance, and replacement of units.
  • Manages vehicle fleet allocation of approx. 100 republic owned trucks, vans and cars.
  • Works with supply chain to strategically source replacements annually
  • Screens, interviews, and makes recommendations for hiring potential employees.
  • Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation, and supervision of direct reports.
  • Appraises performance, provides performance feedback, takes corrective actions and oversees training and development of staff.
  • Fosters the Company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.

  • High school diploma or GED and five years experience in contract maintenance or related field.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in a related area and additional years related experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Able to read and interpret technical, regulatory and contractual documentation. ● Able to maintain confidentiality.

Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction.  Decisions often require some thought without established precedents or procedures.  Decisions tend to be short term and usually of moderate cost.  Able to work independently or as part of a team to drive results.
