As Manager, Maintenance Control, youll lead Maintenance Control during your shift and serve as the decision authority across System Operations Control (SOC), Line Maintenance, Heavy Maintenance, Engineering, Inspection, and Purchasing. Youll manage real-time risk, recovery, and communication, while keeping safety and regulatory compliance at the center of every operational decision.
The Manager, Maintenance Control reports to Frontiers Sr. Manager, Maintenance Control.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $120,000 – $146,157
- Annual Performance Bonus: Target 10 of base salary (range 0–20, based on performance metrics and/or individual objectives)
- Signing Bonus: $20,000 paid after 90 days of employment (minus applicable taxes/withholdings). If you voluntarily end employment or are terminated for cause within 12 months of your start date, you agree to repay a prorated share (1/12 per month remaining).*

What youll do at Frontier Airlines:
- Lead daily Maintenance Control operations during your shift to support continuous, safe aircraft operations in scheduled service.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for maintenance-driven operational decisions, ensuring consistent communication and coordination across SOC, Line/Heavy Maintenance, Engineering, Inspection, and Purchasing.
- Monitor and manage MEL/CDL/NEF processes for accuracy, including required documentation and system entries (FMIS).
- Drive action plans to reduce maintenance-related delays and cancellations and support reliability-focused improvements.
- Maintain staffing coverage, schedule administration, payroll processing, and day-to-day oversight for Maintenance Control personnel on duty.
- Ensure accurate documentation and retention for on-call/one-time on-call maintenance events, audits, and corrections.
- Act on the companys behalf with authority to discipline, discharge (in extenuating circumstances), or recommend same when company policy/procedure or established practices have been violated.
- Maintain the authority to ground any aircraft when deemed absolutely necessary.
What youll bring to Frontier Airlines:
- FAA certificated mechanic with Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) ratings
- Minimum 5 years of combined Line Maintenance and/or Heavy Maintenance experience
- Minimum 2 years of Maintenance Control experience
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory/management role in a Maintenance Operations environment
- Working knowledge of Airbus A320 family aircraft
- Demonstrated knowledge of airline maintenance operations and ability to plan, organize, and delegate responsibilities
- Proven leadership, motivational, and organizational skills
- Must successfully complete all company required training and demonstrate behavior aligned with company core values
- Preferred: Four-year college degree; FCC Radio License

Essential Functions
The Manager, Maintenance Control, is responsible for the daily operation of Maintenance Control during their respective shift ensuring the continuous and safe operation of company aircraft during scheduled service. Oversee and maintain adequate staffing levels necessary to maintain efficient daily operations. Responsible for the oversight of all Maintenance Control personnel on duty, efficiently managing all daily activities. Possess the authority to approve overtime, establish, or delegate responsibilities and assignments or create policy and/or procedures. Exercise financial decisions regarding the recovery of AOG aircraft or maintained continued operations up to and including purchasing of parts, charters, third party maintenance vendors, or any other relevant situation. These duties also include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Continually design/implement action plans to reduce maintenance related delays and cancellations
- Create/administer/manage the departments work schedules including managing/approving vacations, monitoring sick time and absences, including payroll processing
- Maintain department goals, performance objectives and training (including recurrent training) of all Maintenance Control personnel
- Single point of contact for the Senior Manager, Maintenance Control and Director, Maintenance regarding daily operations
- Effectively monitor and manage the MEL/CDL/NEF process for accuracy
- Maintain all One Time On-Call Maintenance documentation for each event, including all FMIS entries as required
- Ensure the requirements of On-Call and One Time On-Call Maintenance are performed per the requirements of this manual
- Review and control the retention of One Time On-Call Form 30189 and associated documents for 30 days as referenced in the Maintenance Control Standard Operating Manual
- Ensure timely audits of all completed overnight work documents and facilitate timely corrections of all noted errors as required
- Verify all FMIS Entries are correctly entered or make corrections as required.
- Administer and manage all departmental self-audits
- If so directed, participate in the Reliability Board Meeting
- Complete in a timely manner all other duties assigned by the Sr. Manager, Maintenance Control or higher
Please note: this posting will expire on or before 5/31/26.
In addition to your base salary, you will be eligible to earn an annual cash performance bonus, at the discretion of Frontiers Board of Directors or one of such boards committees, based on the attainment of performance metrics for Frontier and/or individual performance objectives, in each case established and evaluated by such board or one of its committees. Your target annual bonus will be (10) of your base salary, but the actual amount of your annual bonus may range (0 - 20) of your base salary.
*Signing Bonus: Full time new hires will be eligible for a signing bonus of $20,000 after (90) days of employment (minus applicable taxes and withholdings). You agree that if you voluntarily end your employment with Frontier Airlines, Inc. or are terminated for cause within twelve (12) months of your start date, you will repay a pro-rate share of the signing bonus for – 1/12 of the total bonus amount per month remaining in the term.
