What You Will Do
Management of end item master production schedules to include planning, coordinating and monitoring top level products through the complete production cycle
Coordinate and lead the new products transition process and top-level material planning. Ensure that all material and planning parameters accurately reflect Manufacturing capability to meet demand
Collaborate with Order Administration and Contracts Management to resolve customer sales order exceptions
Generate short lead-time requests from a variety of customers
Analyze business processes and generate improvement ideas with implementation plans
Lead projects and lean events to improve internal business processes
Own impact on manufacturing performance to MPS, and on-time delivery to the customer
Responsible for maintaining ongoing relationships with key customers
Work with urgency to support customers on drop-in requirements more common to the ‘optional’ business model, while protecting the business from failures caused by over-commitments
Remain engaged and involved through the entire Sales and Operations planning process. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Contracts, Procurement, and VSL through the Sales Forecast process and facilitation of the Supply, Planning and Execution process
Owns responsibilities with Minimal day-to-day direction
Effectively communicate with and influence management and personnel from across the enterprise
Serve as an expert on call and prime contact to management on matters relating to the scheduling discipline
Conduct training sessions with ERP users geared at expanding material requirements planning (MRP) knowledge across Operations
Recognizes business process issues and implements solutions. Supports new process and tools implementation or changes, as master scheduling expert
Comprehension of warehouse management and inventory allocation by monitoring inventory levels
Examine production data metrics to pinpoint bottlenecks and opportunities for enhancement
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
Advanced MS Excel skills including index match, x-look ups, pivot tables, sum if & count if, and concatenate functions
5+ years of experience as a production planner in a manufacturing environment
Experience using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and/or software
Qualifications We Prefer
Aerospace or avionics manufacturing experience
SAP experience
Data analytics experience
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals
Self-directed; strong planning and organizational skills and able adapt to changing priorities and assignments
Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
