Position Summary A Security Operations (SecOps) Manager plays a pivotal role in safeguarding an organizations digital and physical assets. Oversee the Security Operations Center (SOC) or the broader security operations team, ensuring effective threat detection, incident response, and compliance with security policie. The responsibilities encompass strategic planning, team leadership, and the implementation of security technologies.
Key Accountability- Leadership and Team Management, Security Monitoring and Threat Detection, Incident Response and Management, Policy Development and Compliance, Technology and Automation Oversight and Strategic Planning and Communication.
- Manage the daily operation of the SecOps to meet MAG business demands. Provide feedback, direction and advice on technical solutions to management related to MAG SecOps structure. Able to work and coordinate with other operational teams and maintain open communications with business user management to keep them apprised of operational situations that impact or may impact their respective areas.
- Provides consultation and industry-standard solutions to business users in regards of the operation of the SecOps. Manage the business users requirement in Change Requests (CR) activities of the MAG SecOps.
- Create and maintain documentation for MAG SecOps activities according to MAG IT standards and operating procedures.
- Maintain continous and uninterrupted operation of the MAG SecOps at any point of time. Manage continuous improvement activities, contract administration and project implementation (installation & configuration) within targeted response time.
Qualification & Working Experience- Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or equivalent.
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
- CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
- GIAC Security Operations Manager (GSOM)
- Certified Security Operations Manager (CSOM)
- Vendor Certifications (e.g., Palo Alto or Microsoft Networks SecOps Professional)
- 6 – 7 years of experience in SecOps Management or related fields
Areas of Experience- Real-time Monitoring and Reporting
- Capacity Planning and Management
- Uptime and Performance Maintenance
- Business User Management.
Personality Traits- Knowledge of Cybersecurity and SecOps operational support and maintainance.
- Possesed related IT technical skills such as system troubleshooting, technology terms understanding and SLAs compliance.
- Good at multitasking, possesed analytical, problem solving, negotiating and good oral and written communication.
- Possesed strong positive and can-do attitude.
