Role Purpose
Responsible for leading and overseeing the Supply Chain team to support operational requirements effectively and efficiently. This role involves managing departmental budgets within approved limits, justifying any significant variances with corrective action plans. The Manager ensures departmental KPIs are met, and implements timely corrective or mitigation actions in case of shortfalls. Additionally, the role ensures each function within the department is adequately resourced in terms of manpower, training, and facilities, while proactively providing alternative solutions to support continuous operational excellence.
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in material and inventory management. Candidates with experience in the aviation industry are preferred.
Key Accountability
- Monitor and improve vendor performance through regular evaluation, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and alignment with contractual obligations.
- Ensure all departmental KPIs are met. For any targets not achieved, provide a corrective action plan detailing the root causes and mitigation measures.
- Conduct quarterly meetings with section heads to provide updates on Engineering & Maintenance developments, corporate goals, and initiatives, including discussions on section-specific issues and workarounds.
- Ensure departmental expenditure remains within the approved budget. In cases of significant discrepancies, collaborate with section heads to investigate causes, develop mitigation plans, and maintain budget control for the upcoming months.
- Ensure each section has an effective organization structure with adequate manpower and resources to support efficient and economical operations.
- Ensure section managers are aware of the required skills and knowledge for their teams. Conduct training needs analysis to identify development opportunities and support talent retention at all levels.
- Ensure all personnel comply with aviation airworthiness regulations, the SCM Manual, Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE), and all relevant corporate policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Corporate Governance standards, the Business Code of Conduct, the Engineering Technical Purchasing Manual, and the Corporate Approving Authority Policy (CAAP) – Section B.
