Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Responsible for delivering clear and concise communication in a timely manner to technicians and supervisors. Communicates company vision and organizational goals and objectives to continually improve quality, reduce waste, and increase throughput.
- Ensures all safety standards and policies are met. Conducts regular observations for safety compliance and corrects unsafe acts.
- Lead the overall manufacturing development strategy for the areas under ownership for key metrics (safety, quality, delivery, and cost) and actively measure teams performance against these metrics.
- Be the cross functional lead within the facility to pull together resources that are required to achieve delivery goals.
- Evaluate resource needs and hire staff as appropriate.
- Manages employees by establishing performance goals, allocating resources, and assessing performance.
- Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
- Manage, inspire, develop, and motivate employees.
Schedule: The schedule for this position is Friday - Sunday, 5:00am - 5:30pm. Work outside these hours may be required.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) to coordinate project management and scheduling
- Five years recent supervisory experience in management of people and projects
- Leadership experience required; formal training strongly preferred
- Knowledge of composite manufacturing processes preferred
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to effectively manage stress, including competing work demands and multiple projects at the same time
