Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking First-Line Manufacturing Managers (Level K) to support the 777 Change Incorporation & Refurbishment (CI&R) in Everett, Washington.

First-line leaders on the 777 CI&R team cultivate strong cross-functional partnerships to drive team and program objectives while fostering a work environment that prioritizes safety, quality, accountability, trust, and teamwork. This role is pivotal in promoting a first-pass quality approach within manufacturing, and it is essential for our leaders to be dedicated to the success of their team members.

In this position, the leader will ensure adherence to FOD-free product standards and the Clean as You Go philosophy, which are critical elements of our production system. A steadfast commitment to our standards, our people, and our customers is mandatory Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines

• Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies

• Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

• Manages, develops and motivates employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”

• 3+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment

• 3+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment

• 1+ years of experience managing Key Performance Indicators within Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Manufacturing data

• 1+ years of experience using Boeing Production System (BPS)

• Must be adaptable and able to execute with urgency

• Commitment to Go for Zero and Incident Injury Free (IIF) principles

Shift:

We are hiring for 1st and 2nd shift, decisions on shift will be made at time of offer; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.
