Position Summary
Oversee machine and secondary activity within assigned department including safety and quality; communicate issues to supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory in 3409 and 3419 to support IPD plant locations; manage subcontract work for dept 3409 and 3419.
- Trouble shoot all equipment within the dept and utilize appropriate support resources as needed.
- Maintain and update data using mainframe (MSS) computer system (Check inventory); help manage raw material inventory.
- Make jobs using the MSS mainframe system, and close jobs when process is complete.
- Prioritize, plan, and assign resources to meet customer requests
- Track components at annual - silver plater any other sub-contract
- Ensure products meet quality requirements
- Load machines, as needed
- Communicate with customer services using various mediums/tools i.e., phone, email, etc.
- Primary Back-up for Everlube, barrel finisher and Lube 5
- Train and develop team members
- Work closely with Assembly to provide components needed to meet production demands
- Monitor team progress and post data on the Team Improvement Board
- Lead and facilitate HPT meetings, engaging employees in the improvement process
- Lead continous improvement efforts
- All other job duties assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Minimum two (2) years production experience
