The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Team is looking for a motivated, self-starting Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 4) who wants to perform challenging, interesting, and dynamic work as a member of the CFD and Thermal Analysis Team within the BCA Environmental Control Systems Team in Everett, WA

We are a team that supports all Boeing models both in development and in airline service as well as other BCA organizations in the area of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and thermal analysis. These models include programs such as the 737MAX, 747-8, 767/KC-46A Tanker, 777/777F, 787, the B-52 Engine Replacement, VC-25B Presidential Aircraft, new generations of 777X, or all-new airplane(s) that are currently in early developmental stages.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
  • Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives. Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project.
  • Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers.
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree in a technical, engineering, or STEM field.
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering project planning or project management or related experience.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships / partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics and data visualization.
  • 3+ years of experience with project management tracking tools.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience  
  • 3+ years of Experience with Agile Methodologies and JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  • 5+ years of experience with BCA airplane systems commodities and team.
  • 3+ years of experience with Boeing Business Systems (Finance, IT&DA, and Supply Chain).
    Strong organizational and effective communication skills.
  • 3+ years of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership.
  • 3+ years of experience navigating complex environments with a track record of building and fostering key relationships.
  • Proactively and quickly makes sense of complex issues; responds effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates complicated information simply.

Typical Education & Experience:

Mid-Level (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years related work experience, 10 years related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years related work experience, 14 years related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 5):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years related work experience, 19 years related work experience, etc.)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range for Mid-Level (level 3): $93,500 - $101,200

Summary pay range for Senior (level 4): $115,600 - $125,120

Summary pay range for Senior (level 5): $141,950 -$153,640
