JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: OJT Manager
Department: Maintenance Training
Reports To: Director of Technical Training
POSITION PURPOSE:
The OJT Manager will develop, implement, and manage on-the-job training programs for all employees to acquire necessary skills and knowledge for their roles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate between department heads, subject matter experts and other stakeholders to establish/identify on-the-job training needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Evaluate effectiveness of each departments on-the-job training program to identify deficiencies and improvements through use of assessments, surveys, and feedback.
- Mentor on-the-job trainers through proper OJT completion by tracking progress, providing feedback, and ensuring they meet learning objectives.
- Provide reports on OJT program improvements and effectiveness.
- Create procedures on how specific OJT can be completed and submitted for record keeping.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Promoting training opportunities to employees within the company.
- Ensuring OJT training programs adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Coordinating and conducting training sessions, workshops, and hands-on training activities.
- Creating training materials, procedures, and guides to support the training programs.
- Designing and developing comprehensive OJT programs tailored to specific roles and needs.
- Perform any other additional duties as assigned by the Director of Technical Training.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED
A, P or both Certification is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, Write and understand spoken and written English.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge skill and or ability required.
Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and days off.
Excellent verbal and written communication
Computer Proficiency
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and a positive attitude.
Excellent Organization skills
CFR 121, 145, and 147 knowledge is preferred.
