Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, is recruiting a Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO).

This role is ideal for someone a few years into their Project Management career who is ready to step up, take ownership, and build breadth and depth of experience quickly. You’ll work on work transfer and new product introduction (NPI) projects, supporting complex programmes in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Based at our Staverton site, the role includes travel to other Ontic sites and customer locations globally, providing exposure to international programmes and senior stakeholders early in your career.

Who This Role Is For:

This role is for someone a few years into their Project Management career who is confident stepping into ambiguity and helping to shape projects as they develop.

You’ll be naturally curious and inquisitive, comfortable asking questions to understand the detail, and motivated by working in complex, technical, and regulated environments. You’re keen to learn quickly, get hands-on, and build a strong foundation in Project Management, while working confidently with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders.

You don’t need to be a senior Project Manager, but you do need the presence and mindset to stand up a project, engage others, and take ownership of your work.

The Role

• Support the delivery of work transfer, new product introduction, and site integration projects
• Assist in managing complex, global projects using structured project management methodologies
• Work closely with engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, and commercial teams
• Help define project scope, plans, milestones, and success criteria
• Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and support resource planning
• Track dependencies, risks, issues, and actions across projects
• Monitor progress against plans and escalate where timelines or scope are at risk
• Prepare and maintain clear, accurate project documentation and reporting
• Support risk & opportunity management throughout the project lifecycle
• Learn and apply Ontic project governance, quality, and assurance processes
• Gradually take on greater ownership as confidence and capability grow

Experience & Skills:

• Some experience in project coordination, project management, engineering, operations, or manufacturing
• Exposure to regulated industries (aerospace, defence, automotive, medical, etc.) is beneficial
• Awareness of project management principles and tools (formal certification is a bonus, not a requirement)
• Understanding of change management concepts is advantageous
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word; MS Project desirable)
• Willingness to travel and work across sites and cultures
