Responsibilities
Oversee and ensure the company’s compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
Investigate regulatory non-compliance to establish root causes and propose comprehensive solutions.
Coordinate and track all regulatory non-compliance activities, including FAA/TSA formal Letters of Investigation.
Serve as the central point of contact for FAA Requests for Information, providing timely and well-researched responses.
Liaise with the FAA to investigate and rectify safety issues, ensuring full compliance.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on regulatory matters, including LOIs, VSDs, and general requests.
Organize meetings with leadership to develop resolutions for regulatory issues.
Compile and present reports and presentations resulting from investigations.
Assign, monitor, and manage regulatory corrective actions, maintaining non-compliance dashboards.
Guide the Maintenance Quality Assurance program in developing risk-based auditing practices.
Interface with the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System on regulatory issues.
Document Safety Action Groups (SAGs) and oversee completion of Root Cause Analysis for non-compliance.
Provide safety data and recommendations to senior management and prepare required reports.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulatory agencies.
Manage the Company’s Security and Safety Management System and associated outputs.
Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in aircraft maintenance, regulatory compliance, or auditing.
Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
Proficiency in technical writing and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication and statistical analysis skills.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Preferred
Two- or four-year degree in Aviation Safety or Business.
Extensive operational experience and professional qualifications in aviation.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance environments.
