We have partnered with a well-respected commercial MRO facility to identify a highly experienced and qualified Director of Maintenance to join their team in Wichita, KS. This role involves ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, enhancing operational efficiency, and upholding the highest safety and quality standards. The DOM will be instrumental in driving the nose-to-tail modification and fleet modification programs for our client.
Responsibilities:
- The DOM will determine the qualifications of all maintenance employees prior to work assignment through evaluation of previous experience or review of training records
- The DOM must be certificated under 14 CFR Part 65
- Training, assisting and supervising maintenance personnel in accordance with the LAUNCH RSM and customer procedures
- Ensuring that all necessary maintenance entries on maintenance forms and work orders used by the Repair Station are properly executed by the responsible mechanics
- Assuring that all maintenance is accomplished in accordance with current maintenance manuals; manufacturers’ data and / or other FAA approved data
- Monitor and maintain attendance records of assigned crew
- Audit and approve weekly work records of assigned work group
- Ensure accountability to conduct themselves within the guidelines of company policies, work rules and regulatory regulation.
- Has Override authority of the Maintenance Departments when there is a disagreement with a Maintenance Technician
- Completing the Self Audit Questionnaire, for articles to be added to the Capabilities List and submit to the Director of Quality / Chief Inspector for review
- Monitor performance and complete proficiency appraisals of assigned work group
- Evaluate vacation requests against scheduling/manpower requirements and respond as needed
- Promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and others to assure all duties are performed within the guidelines as specified by the Compony Safety Manual
- Manage operations in the most effective manner, eliminating waste, and improving productivity
- Provide coaching, counseling and guidance to assigned work group
- Attend meetings as needed to discuss critical path areas, planned work, critical parts, and overall aircraft status
- Develop strong relationship with NIAR/WERX leadership and increase size of our client's projects at the location.
