Amentum, a large government contract company, is seeking a Passenger Terminal Lead / Air Traffic to support a pending contract award in Haiti. 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Passenger Terminal Lead - Air Traffic (PTL - AT) will primarily assist in ensuring passenger terminal operations run efficiently and correctly IAW international, US, military and Program/PWS requirements.

  • Supervise and schedule daily work assignments for all support personnel.
  • Provide passenger reservation support.
  • Plan itinerary and schedule travel accommodations for military and civilian personnel according to travel orders using knowledge of routes, types of carriers, and travel regulations.
  • Verify travel orders to insure costs, availability, and convenience of different types of carriers to select most advantageous route and carrier; notifies personnel of travel dates, baggage, limits and medical and visa requirements, and determines that all clearances have been obtained.
  • Assist personnel in completing travel forms and other business transactions pertaining to travel, may deliver personnel files and travel orders to persons prior to departure, meet and inform arriving personnel of available facilities and housing and furnish other information, and may arrange for motor transportation for arriving or departing personnel.
  • Under close supervision or following specific procedures and detailed instructions, arranges travel on one or two modes of transportation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Program leadership.


The PTL / AT shall be available within 2 hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel to discuss problem areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in planning, supporting, and managing travel support in a coordination environment
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership role
  • Ability to function in an office setting, answer the phone, use office equipment, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and be capable of adjusting to the communication style appropriate for the audience
  • Ability to listen and understand supported unit requirements
  • Knowledgeable about and have experience with the military decision-making process
  • Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Valid US or local drivers license and US passport
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance. 
  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment as required
  • Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide)

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience providing excellent customer service in supporting contract responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards
  • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds, bend, stoop, and work safely around equipment, materials, supplies, and other items to be handled.
  • Will work near running aircraft.
  • Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
  • Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent

WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS

This position may be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
