We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in Medical Procurement to take on the role of Procurement Manager. The Procurement Manager for Medical Sourcing plays a pivotal role in managing sourcing events, supplier engagements, and contract negotiations to meet the Emirates Group’s operational needs within the medical category.

The position is responsible for driving Requests for Tender (RFTs), ensuring compliance with the Procurement Policy and Procedures Manual, while securing maximum value and minimising total cost of ownership.

This role requires active engagement with all stakeholders, including business unit leads, medical service providers, equipment suppliers and internal governance functions, to gain a clear understanding of business requirements and deliver sourcing strategies aligned with operational priorities. The Procurement Manager will contribute to defining and executing category strategies by applying deep spanet insights, supplier performance evaluation, and benchspaning of service delivery models.

Overall, the Procurement Manager – Medical Sourcing will act as the bridge between business needs and supplier spanet capabilities, ensuring effective procurement outcomes, strong supplier relationships and continuous improvement in cost and service delivery.

In this role, you will:

• Contribute to defining and implementing the category strategy and plan by applying deep spanet insights and subject matter expertise specific to your geographic or category area. Use routine spend and spanet analysis, along with ongoing assessment of current spanet conditions, to inform and refine the strategy. Develop and implement strategies to deliver the lowest total cost of ownership for acquisition of capital, goods, or service items.
• Engage with all stakeholders as required to develop a detailed understanding of business strategic objectives and ongoing requirements. Provide expert advice to customer departments during product design phase to optimize value for money to the Group.
• Plan and manage ongoing sourcing events to ensure timely, effective and efficient delivery of business requirements in line with best practice and the Procurement Policy and Procedures Manual.
• Develop and maintain a work program of contracts due for negotiation to ensure appropriate continuity of supply before any contracts expire, proactively identifying opportunities for cost improvement.
• Manage the full sourcing cycle, including strategy development, supplier pre-qualification and evaluation, tender preparation, evaluation of responses, negotiation of terms and conditions, and contract finalization to meet business requirements and as per company standards/policies
• Ensure that all projects, tenders, recommendation to award documentation, procurement contributions and contracts are maintained and updated systematically in the systems to provide continuous project management, accurate reporting and appropriate escalation of issues to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Champion the adoption and optimization of procurement systems (e.g., EPIC, iDoc, Oracle, Cat360) to streamline processes and improve data transparency and accuracy.
• Ensure robust implementation and handover of all contracts and orders to support smooth transactional processes through P2P solutions including set up of supplier master for payment and creation of BPA / SPO / Price list as required in the category specific process.
• Prepare Recommendations to Award (RTA), contracts and orders and ensure approvals in adherence to the Procurement Procedures Manual and in the Authorities Manual. Assess and mitigate Procurement and supply chain risks within the sourcing events at all stages of the process.
• Execute and support other activities, roles, responsibilities, or tasks as directed by the line management or as required by the organization to meet business needs and ensure operational flexibility.

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

• Bachelors Degree or Honours with 8+ years of experience in Procurement. Contract Management
• Degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
• Recommended Qualifications: Minimum of one of the following qualifications: MCIPS, CIPS, CPP, CSMP, CPSM, IPSCMI, CIPP, CPPP, CISCP, CICCM, CIPN, CITLP, CISM, CMPO or advanced qualification to manage procurement and supply chain on an international scale.
• Experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the aviation or related industry

Knowledge/skills:

• Best practice Source to Pay experience of procurement sourcing activities and contract management deploying standard best practice procurement processes.
• Experience and knowledge of given spanets for specific categories in support of developing robust category strategies.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Proven track record of analytical decision-making with strong commercial acumen.
• Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and data analysis tools.
