Key Responsibilities:

The Product Manager role at United Airlines will be responsible for portions of the Air Traffic control product line. It will be focused on delivering multiple projects of varying scope and complexity across the platform, impacting capabilities such as migration to Cloud , schema changes to products as per FAA guidelines, predictive models, Data storage initiates and Gen AI

  • Uses detailed knowledge of application features and functions to assess scope and impact of business needs and has ability to write specifications for development of AWS, Java components including service and event interfaces
  • Frequently interacts with business partners, collaborators, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas or end users. Identifies, communicates, and coordinates
  • Produces roadmap, workflow, process diagrams and gap analysis reporting
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Identifies needs, secures commitments and monitors progress of deliverables from internal and external teams

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelors degree
  • 5+ or more years of IT Product Management experience in application design, development, installation, modification
  • Structured design, development and implementation
  • Understands Technology systems & applications
  • Vendor Management
  • Exceptional at component and unit testing of following standard practices and methodologies
  • Exceptional applying the technologies and domain knowledge with the delivery of developed components or integrated components
  • Outstanding at working problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires review of a variety of factors
  • Exceptional at triage or analysis of situations for production support
  • Excels with on time delivery with minimal direction
  • Effective verbal and written communicator
  • Effective participant of requirements gathering, requirements analysis
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
  • BS/BA, preferably in a technical or scientific field or 10 years of substantive experience
  • PMP
  • Familiarity with Air Traffic control system and related components such as Migration to Cloud, Migration to UDH, SWIM Data, Predictive AI models, Foundry, working experience with FAA
