Satair (an Airbus Company) is looking for a Product Manager - Tools & GSE (Ground Service Equipment) to join our Product Management Department based in Herndon, VA.

This position is located in Herndon, VA

You will be part of a team growing revenue, profitability and positive cash flow of the product line by building a competitive product portfolio to fulfill the needs of our aerospace customers

Your Challenges:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Define the roadmap of product push campaigns to stimulate sales for the year in the Americas region

  • Identify opportunities for sales based on Airbus/Satair knowledge of supporting the active fleet

  • Support Airlines during their entry into service of the A220 and other Airbus programmes by offering initial provisioning packages of Tools and GSE and ensure these are delivered in time as per customer expectation

  • Define and create the content of the campaigns, including relevant product / technical information

  • Roll-out the campaigns with the Sales teams and elaborates any relevant marketing material in close cooperation with the marketing department

  • Evaluate their commercial outcome and establish lessons learned as appropriate within the organizations (e.g. price and demand feedback)

  • Establish the product & service roadmap and drumbeat fulfillment of product & service operations (improvement plan) and development together with the support of internal and external stakeholders

  • Actively manage the creation and implementation of global business plans

  • Support the governance with regards to operational and financial performance from target proposal (AOP, Forecast) to follow up (MBR – Monthly Business Review)

  • Work closely with Supply Chain to optimize the product lines’ inventory investment and provide them with necessary market trend intelligence

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Support Sales in maintaining and winning new business

General Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Satair’s mission, values and Quality Management procedures

  • Respect Satair processes and procedures agreed per function

  • Keep the direct report informed of the status of agreed tasks and of any critical problem areas

  • Participate in optimizing Satair’s business procedures by applying existing Satair’s IT systems

  • Comment/advise on unsatisfactory situations within the organization, and propose potential solutions for improvements

  • Identify and offer suggestions to improve efficiency

  • Be well informed about and familiar with the latest developments in Satair&39;s business

  • Have an inter-cultural understanding

  • Participate in occupational safety and health efforts

  • Contribute towards a positive and inspiring working environment



 

Your Boarding Pass:

  • 5 years’ experience in a customer service position in the commercial aerospace aftermarket industry

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or similar degree (BA, Master…) with commercial /technical background and strong project management skills and experience

  • Experience with managing the entire value chain to support the Tools & GSE business

  • Understanding the respective competitive forces in play

  • Knowledge of the product categories within the standard parts market incl. which parts to stock and what pricing strategies to pursue for the different categories

  • Knowledge of customer requirements and practices in terms of price sensitivity, lead time, part availability and end part usage

  • Drive and ability to lead and influence across organizational boundaries

  • Knowledge about the product management discipline

  • Proven ability to meet and exceed profitability targets consistently

  • Strong business acumen

  • Fluent in English both orally and in writing. Additional languages (German, French) beneficial

  • Frequent business travel

  • Ability to work in an international context
