Job Description:

The Air Force Global Strike Contract (AFGSC) Production Supervisor is responsible to the Site Supervisor for all maintenance functions including oversight of Aircrew Support Equipment, Munitions, PS&D, and MOC personnel as outlined in the Government contract.

  • Production Supervisor may be assigned as the responsible Manager for contract required programs below and other programs as directed by the Site Supervisor:
  • Joint Oil Analysis Program
  • Foreign Object Damage Prevention Program
  • Tool Control Program
  • ESD/ESI Program
  • Responsible for direct management of the people and processes to ensure safe expeditious maintenance. Must have the necessary experience and management skills to direct the CBA workforce in complying with established policies, procedures, and operations to support the AFGSC Program
  • Extensive working knowledge gained through “hands-on” and management experience with US Air Force maintenance procedures is paramount.
  • Must have the ability to communicate accurately and concisely on maintenance issues and material support matters, both orally and in writing.
  • Must be able to read, speak, write legibly and understand the English language.
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • May be required to travel on Company business.
  • On occasion, will function in the capacity of the Site Supervisor, when required.
  • Responsible for the timely submission and accuracy of assigned CDRLs.
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct the activities of the Maintenance Team in all aspects of maintenance.
  • Participate in and understand analysis and workload planning to ensure that customer service and company goals are met.
  • Interfaces with the customer at the COR and Squadron level, as required, to assure the contract requirements are fulfilled
  • Assist Site Supervisor in establishing and maintaining written procedures for all contract assigned materials and responsible areas
  • Be proactive in all internal and external audits providing corrective action as needed to resolve maintenance issues and ensure all NAMP requirements are complied with.  
  • Assist the Site Supervisor in evaluating existing methods, systems, and potential improvements for compliance with maintenance requirements and ensure cost-effectiveness, productivity, and personnel safety.
  • Maintain various forms of data and records in support of periodic (Ad hoc/CDRL) required reports.
  • Submit to the Site Supervisor any recommendations for manpower, materials, facilities, and capital equipment.
  • Actively support the Company's Safety philosophy and programs.  Investigate all accidents and injuries of assigned personnel and take action to prevent similar incidents.
  • When off-site repairs of equipment are needed, determine and coordinate the most feasible means to obtain repairs.
  • Advise the Site Supervisor of the status of work in progress and coordinate with other departments as required to accomplish tasks.
  • Assist in interviews, selection, and training of new employees.
  • Instruct assigned employees on proper methods and procedures as required.
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of employee complaints.  Be thoroughly familiar with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and assist in Step 2 grievances in accordance with the CBA.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with and support Company policies and procedures.
  • Provide assistance in disciplining employees as needed to enforce Company policies, directives, and CBA requirements following progressive disciplinary procedures.
  • Comply with Hazardous Waste Program.
  • Responsible for enforcement of the Tool Control Program.
  • Enforce Company and Government regulations applicable to the program to ensure personnel safety and the security and preservation of Government and Company-owned equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with required Quality Control policies and inspections.
  • Perform other reasonably related incidental duties when directed within the job
Job Requirements:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • The Production Supervisor shall possess an extensive background in Air Force organizational level aircraft maintenance and material support with a preferred minimum of ten (10) years of experience. Four (4) years shall be in a supervisory position that included responsibility for assigning program workloads as well as duties for entire shifts.  Must be knowledgeable of Air Force technical directives and understand basic supply procedures.
  • Formal or Specialized Training/Equivalent
  • FOD Awareness Trained
  • Valid State Driver’s License
  • Must be able to get a CAC Card
  • Higher education degree AD/BA/BS or higher in associated fields is desired, but not required.
  • Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.
