"JOB SUMMARY:
The Program Manager will lead the planning and execution of high-value simulator programs aligned with strategic business objectives across commercial and military spanets. This role is accountable for the successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring compliance, financial performance, and schedule adherence throughout the full program lifecycle.
As a cross-functional leader, the Program Manager will guide integrated teams, including engineering, operations, subcontractors, and support functions, through all phases of program execution, from contract award to final delivery and closeout. Supported by the Program Management Office and key stakeholders in sales, business development, contracts, and legal, the PM will have core responsibilities with Program scheduling, milestone management, sub-contractor oversight, financial planning, risk management, and customer engagement and communications.
The Program Manager serves as the primary point of accountability for program performance across the value stream and will foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This role requires a proactive leader who inspires teams to exceed expectations in delivering mission-critical training solutions to our customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with the Business Development Office to validate scope, schedule, and cost estimates for new business opportunities.
Serve as the primary customer interface post-contract award, managing relationships across commercial and military accounts.
Lead the delivery of diverse simulation products including Full Flight Simulators (FFS), Flight Training Devices (FTDs), Operational Flight Trainers (OFTs), Unit Training Devices (UTDs), Cockpit Procedural Trainers (CPTs), Computer-Based Training (CBT), maintenance and operator training solutions, technical documentation, and associated services.
Support supplier proposal development and negotiation of technical requirements and pricing.
Oversee subcontractor agreements, ensuring execution of requirements and resolving performance issues in coordination with Operations and Procurement.
Maintain weekly updates on project performance metrics, financial forecasts, and schedules; lead monthly executive reviews to report status and outcomes.
Monitor production progress using performance management tools, resolving issues proactively to meet project objectives.
Guide engineering execution by translating contract requirements into actionable deliverables, managing configuration changes and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) in partnership with the Project Engineer.
Utilize enterprise business systems and Program/Portfolio Management (PPM) tools for resource planning and project tracking.
Act as TRU’s liaison with customers and regulatory authorities (e.g., FAA, EASA) to ensure compliance and readiness for device acceptance and qualification.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Program Management Office (PMO), enhancing process efficiency and quality across functional teams.
Plan and execute domestic and international travel to support delivery, installation, and customer acceptance activities; travel may be up to 25 annually, including multi-week deployments.
