Delta Air Lines is seeking a highly experienced Learning Professional to spearhead the technical management, optimization, and strategic evolution of our LMS Platform (SuccessFactors). This role is central to our technical and operational transformation, ensuring our learning ecosystem effectively supports the continuous skilling and development of Delta’s employees. This role will be the primary technical owner for SuccessFactors Learning, responsible for its configuration, maintenance, integrations, reporting, and ensuring its alignment with emerging L&D technologies and best practices. This role will champion system integrity, drive user adoption, and leverage data analytics to enhance the learning experience and demonstrate ROI.

Key Responsibilities:

LMS Administration & Governance (SuccessFactors Learning):

  • Serve as the primary system administrator and technical subject matter expert for SuccessFactors Learning, including managing system configurations, security protocols, user roles, and permissions.
  • Oversee routine maintenance, release management (preview/production), instance refresh processes, and implement system enhancements in line with vendor updates and organizational needs.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive LMS governance documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practice guides.
  • Manage and troubleshoot data integrations between SuccessFactors Learning and other enterprise systems (e.g., SuccessFactors BizX/EDW, SailPoint, BI tools), leveraging APIs and standard connectors.
  • Ensure data integrity within the LMS through regular audits, data cleansing initiatives, and proficient use of data import/export tools (including understanding of the SuccessFactors Learning data dictionary and table structures for custom reporting and troubleshooting).

Technical Solutioning & Platform Optimization:

  • Identify, evaluate, and implement technical solutions to enhance LMS functionality, user experience, and efficiency, such as AI-driven learning recommendations, mobile accessibility, and personalized learning paths.
  • Partner with IT, HR Technology, and L&D stakeholders to define business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and configure the LMS to meet evolving needs.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex system issues, defects, and escalations, performing root cause analysis and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Stay current with SuccessFactors Learning roadmap, new features, and emerging L&D technologies (e.g., AI, LXP capabilities, xAPI, learning analytics platforms) to provide strategic recommendations for platform evolution.

Reporting, Analytics & Insights:

  • Develop and manage a robust reporting strategy for learning data, utilizing standard SuccessFactors reporting tools (e.g., People Analytics, People Story, SQL, Tableau, and PRD - Plateau Report Designer) and BI solutions where applicable.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and data visualizations to provide actionable insights into learning engagement, effectiveness, compliance, and ROI for L&D leaders and business stakeholders.
  • Proactively analyze learning data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in learning programs and platform utilization.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Support:

  • Act as a key liaison between the L&D team, IT departments, HR partners, and external vendors for all LMS-related matters.
  • Provide expert consultation and support to learning administrators, instructional designers, and content owners on LMS functionalities and best practices.
  • Develop and deliver training and support materials for end-users and administrators to ensure effective utilization of the LMS.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, representing L&D technology needs and ensuring seamless integration of learning solutions.

Compliance & Security:

  • Ensure the LMS environment and processes comply with Delta’s data security, privacy (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and accessibility (e.g., WCAG) policies and relevant regulations.
  • Manage system security, user access, and data privacy in alignment with corporate standards.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • 7+ years of progressive experience as an LMS Administrator, with at least 5+ years specifically focused on SAP SuccessFactors Learning module administration in a large enterprise environment.
  • Deep understanding of SuccessFactors Learning architecture, data model, configuration options (system admin, content, user, security, etc.), and integration capabilities (e.g., OData APIs, SFTP, connectors).
  • Proven experience with SuccessFactors quarterly releases, testing, and change management.
  • Proficiency in creating complex reports and dashboards using SuccessFactors reporting tools (ORD/Canvas, People Analytics, PRD) and familiarity with data visualization best practices.
  • Strong experience with data migration, data management (including mass uploads/updates), and troubleshooting data issues within SuccessFactors Learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions within an LMS.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and lead projects in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. (not required)
  • Experience with other SuccessFactors modules (e.g., Employee Central, Performance & Goals, Talent, People Analytics, SAP Work Zone) and their integration points with Learning.
  • Knowledge of learning industry standards such as SCORM, AICC, xAPI.
  • Experience with Learning Experience Platforms (LXPs) and their integration with LMS.
  • Experience in the airline industry or a similarly complex, regulated global organization.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Current SAP SuccessFactors Learning certification (e.g.,HR861xxxx or similar).
