Program Manager - Level III

The Program Manager III provides leadership in support of the Program Management Office of a stand-alone program or major business/program element where business needs dictate. This leader will have responsibility for the reporting, visibility, and communication of strategic and operational program activities necessary to achieve defined program objectives and business plans; this includes, but is not limited to, program schedules, manpower requirements, fixture load charts, budgets, and other such management tools necessary to assure smooth coordination and execution of the program. This position requires general knowledge and skills associated with interfacing and implementing new and changed products into production including methods, manufacturing planning, production control, supply chain management, manufacturing engineering, tool design and build, product assembly and quality management functions. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Job Duties

  • Coordinates New and Changed Product Scope, Schedule and Cost program information with New Product Development Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Supply Management and Quality Assurance.
  • Develops and maintains product implementation schedules and associated milestones for planning, methodizing, tooling, supplier purchased parts, assembly and quality functions.

    Participates in program decision making process, providing schedule, cost and budget performance status to management.

  • Maintains oversight of assigned New Program Development implementation to ensure they remain within schedule and budget parameters.
  • Plans, schedules, implements, initializes, and executes new program implementation. Will perform duties by using Windows based computer programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Project.
  • Track progress of work packages and use of Earned Value Management to track performance.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers

Profile and other information related to the position

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Business or Engineering or related degree preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or Engineering or related degree required
  • 5&43; years of experience in project/program management
  • Ability to read and speak English proficiently required in order to perform the job
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement/Lean/Six Sigma preferred
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • Ability to convey complex information in a way that people understand
  • Effective communication
  • Time management
  • PMI certification preferred
