The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Aircraft on Ground Organization is looking for a Project Management Specialist (level 3 or 4) to support our Victorville Commercial Modification Center (CMC-V) in Victorville, CA.

This position will collaborate with a wide range of internal and external customers, lead proposals, track commitments/ performance, manage risks, and project manage our operations across the site. It is a high-visibility role that will work directly with senior and executive leadership and will be physically located in Victorville.
 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the proposal process for Victorville Commercial Modification Center (CMC-V) services, supporting all Boeing Commercial Airplane platforms; pursue all potential AOG MRO Services to achieve LRBP targets.

  • Collaborate with functional partners (Sales, Customer Engineering, Proposal Board, Mods Engineering, etc.) to meet customer requirements.

  • Act as liaison between CMC-V Operations and AOG Operations to incorporate work statements into a functional step-by-step procedure/flow.

  • Integrate across Boeing MRO sites to ensure a One Boeing presence and provide strategic recommendations to leadership on commercial work placement to best serve customer needs.

  • Track commitments, schedule, capacity, and performance to plan of CMC-V and CFR Part-145 MROs.

  • Evaluate performance risks and their associated impacts for communication and recommendations to senior management.

  • Engage in MRO business development efforts leading creation of business cases and concepts of operations.

  • Actively engage in process improvement efforts, leveraging program management best practices and benchmarks from across the enterprise.

  • Develops overall project plan consistent with project objectives as defined by the project owner and key stakeholders in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards).

  • Works to improve project management processes and business systems that support project decision-makers.

  • Provide surge capacity for AOG Pricing & Estimating activities when needed

  • Ability to travel up to 10 domestically.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in project management

  • 5+ years of experience in project management experience and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously

  • 5+ years of experience managing projects and using standard project management tools

  • 5+ years of experience in facilitating meetings and presenting to senior leaders

  • Ability to travel up to 10 domestically

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • Experience with program oversight, project management tools & metrics reporting

  • Experience working on airplane programs or supporting the production system

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Project Management Certificate or Training

Typical Education/Experience: 

Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years related work experience, 10 years related work experience, etc.).

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years related work experience, 14 years related work experience, etc.).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range (level 3): $94,000 - $101,000

Summary pay range (level 4): $115,000– $125,000
