Project Manager

The Project Manager will lead a cross-functional team comprised of (10) direct reports and (6-8) dotted-line reports to transform the work instructions across the facility using their knowledge of Scrum/ Agile project management knowledge and skills.  The PM will give their direct reports their direct leadership and the dotted-line reports their daily directions to keep working through the project, while the dotted-line reports will take their “technical direction” from their respective functional managers, i.e., Quality, Industrial Engineering, Configuration Management, etc. 

The team will be tasked with evaluating the existing work instructions, then recreating to a new corporate standard being rolled out to Daher’s newest division in Stuart, FL.  The PM will be tasked with further developing the existing Project Plan based on a Project Charter, then managing the Project to completion giving regular Project statuses to Project, site, corporate, and customer leadership.

This will be a Contract-to-Permanent position reporting directly to the Sr. Manager – Production Engineering.

Profile and other information related to the position

Qualifications

• Scrum/Agile experience required, Scrum Master certification highly preferred
• BS or higher, or a combination of education and experience
• 7&43; years of demonstrated experience in Program/ Project management in aerospace in a matrixed organization leading small-to-medium cross-functional teams, is required
• Previous experience in Program/ Project management at a greenfield or brownfield start-up, and/ or revamping the work instructions at an existing large aerospace structures manufacturer is highly preferred
• Previous experience leading Programs/ Projects in Technical Publications for an aerospace manufacturer is a plus
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
• Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization and customers.
• Ability to create and manage project schedules is required; MS Project and/ or PMP certification is preferred
• Experience using ERP and PLM software is required; SAP and Teamcenter Manufacturing, Bill of Process, etc. is preferred
