Project Manager - Production Readiness

Job Description:

De Havilland Aircraft of Canada is seeking a Production Readiness Project Manager to lead cross-functional efforts ensuring operational readiness for aircraft production.This role is responsible for integrating functional deliverables, driving risk visibility, and coordinating execution across Engineering, Operations, Methods, Quality, Supply Chain, Tooling, Logistics, HR, and HSE to enable a stable and on-time production launch.The successful candidate will operate within a structured governance framework and lead a disciplined “war room” readiness approach ahead of aircraft entry into service. Key Responsibilities:Lead cross-functional coordination to achieve production readiness milestonesAlign functional plans to integrated production timelinesFacilitate readiness workshops and structured reviewsDrive risk identification, mitigation planning, and escalationMaintain clear dashboard reporting of schedule, risks, and actionsLead phased readiness reviews (6 months, 3 months, 30 days prior to production)Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement across early production buildsEnable resolution of cross-functional roadblocks and resource constraints Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related discipline7+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, industrial engineering, operations, or program managementDemonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiativesStrong facilitation, communication, and executive presentation skillsProven ability to manage risk and drive accountability without direct authorityPMP or equivalent certification considered an asset Key Competencies:Structured problem-solving and risk managementInfluential leadership and stakeholder alignmentStrong organizational and planning skillsExecutive level communicationResults oriented with high accountability
