QUALITY MANAGER
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the Companys production inspection functions, including incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities supporting the manufacture of aircraft components, subassemblies, assemblies, and completed aircraft. This position ensures inspection processes are effective, consistent, and compliant with Company, customer, FAA, and EASA requirements.
Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Regulatory Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations leadership, the Quality Manager drives product conformity, supports quality investigations and corrective actions, develops inspection personnel, and promotes continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process.

Location: Menominee, Michigan
Pay Range: $85,000-$105,000, based on experience.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF
ROLE
- Lead and develop incoming, in-process, and final inspection personnel to ensure consistent execution of quality requirements and inspection standards.
- Manage daily inspection activities supporting production components, subassemblies, assemblies, and completed aircraft.
- Establish, maintain, and improve inspection procedures, forms, work instructions, records, and related documentation.
- Ensure inspection processes support compliance with engineering specifications, manufacturing requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Support supplier quality and in-process quality engineering initiatives to improve product quality and operational performance.
- Participate in investigations of product and process nonconformities, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Regulatory Quality, and leadership teams to identify quality risks and drive resolution of quality concerns.
- Monitor quality performance metrics and recommend actions to improve product conformity, efficiency, and overall quality performance.
- Support FAA, EASA, customer, and internal quality audits as required.
- Promote continuous improvement through the application of structured problem-solving techniques and quality best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all Company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive quality responsibility within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or leadership experience with responsibility for quality personnel.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of manufacturing process experience, including machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and paint operations.
- Minimum of five (5) years of aerospace manufacturing experience, including familiarity with FAA regulatory requirements and quality systems.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of manufacturing quality systems, inspection methods, and process controls.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience utilizing structured root cause analysis methodologies, including 5-Why, A3, 8D, or similar approaches.
- Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and manufacturing quality metrics.
- Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively influence and collaborate across multiple departments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical discipline.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, ASQ, or other quality-related certifications.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke), and advanced quality methodologies.
- Familiarity with Enstrom products, manufacturing processes, specifications, and quality systems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout production areas for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform detailed visual inspections and review technical documentation.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment in designated production areas.
