The Aircraft Quality Assurance Manager serves as the primary technical advisory agency in the maintenance organization, assisting maintenance supervision at all levels to identify, validate and/or resolve quality, proficiency and/or compliance issues impacting mission generation.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Implement and administer the Maintenance Standardization and Evaluation Program and other programs as applicable IAW DAFI 21-101 and Major Command Supplements.
- Determine training requirements for employees to ensure necessary competency.
- Facilitate the flow of information to employees and managers on all issues that affect processes and procedures, to include technical order changes.
- Prepare plans, policies, and procedures for the offices to ensure efficient quality operation.
- Monitor processes to ensure success and to correct negative trends.
- Ensure compliance with Company Procedures and policies, AS9110 Standards, applicable portions of the Performance Work Statement and Statement of Work.
- Manage and provide data analysis for the following Processes:
- A) Aircraft Maintenance Quality Control/Assurance
- B) Aircraft Maintenance Training Office
- C) OnPoint Training Functions oversight.
- Ensure the Program Director and Director of Maintenance are informed of quality assurance activities that relate to the contract/program requirements.
- Evaluate and analyze deficiencies and problem areas identified are key functions that highlight and reveal underlying causes of poor quality in the maintenance production effort.
- Validate aircraft and equipment condition and personnel proficiency through the Maintenance Standardization and Evaluation Program.
- The manager is responsible to the MXG/CC or equivalent to perform as the primary technical advisory agency for maintenance actions and to assist work center supervisors in reviewing tasks involved in supporting the maintenance effort.
- Scope includes support for 195 T-1, T-6, and T-38 aircraft and 8 to 12 personnel.
- This position requires a minimum 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, and some weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in related field, and eight (8) years relative experience, five (5) years of which must be Department of Defense experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of ten (10) years of directly related experience, seven (7) years of which must be Department of Defense experience.
- Minimum of seven (7) years supervisorial experience with general aviation, military aircraft, or manufacturing.
- Must possess ability to understand and comply with Government publications and technical orders.
- Must possess ability to perform analytical analysis and apply risk management techniques.
- Experience in conflict resolution, team building, and coaching skills.
- Prior experience with unionized workforce highly desired.
Compensation Details:
$115,000 - $125,000
