This position is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the daily activities of the product quality department. Assuring that technicians and operators are following the standards set in our quality policy while being focused on safety and our customers.
• Complying with 3rd party certification requirements • Supervision of quality technicians and technologists
Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES THIS JOB PARTICIPATES, SUPPORTS AND/OR LEADS ACTIVITIES RELATED TO PLANT QUALITY ISSUES AND IMPROVEMENTS.• Daily communication with the plant schedulers, production and shipping teams to better meet customers demand• Ensure that the technicians have been properly trained on test methods and/or procedures • Mentoring and monitoring the development of the Product Quality team members• Implementing strategies to increase the engagement and empowerment of Product Quality team members• Leading the Quality Lab High Performance Team and participating in process improvement initiatives throughout the plant• Ability to travel (less than 10)
Qualifications
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED• Minimum of three years of experience in a quality or related role
EDUCATION REQUIRED• BS degree with a background in Science or Engineering
CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED• Internal auditor certification• Front-Line Leadership training
LANGUAGES REQUIRED• English
