The Role: Quality Management Manager
As the Quality Management Manager, you will lead the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) for your site. Working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain and programme teams, you will embed quality standards and drive continuous improvement across the full product lifecycle.
Your work will directly impact product performance, cost reduction and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the effectiveness of the site Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with internal, customer and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all departments, focusing on process optimisation and risk reduction.
• Develop, deploy and maintain quality planning tools (e.g., control plans, process documentation and assessments).
• Monitor and approve corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Analyse quality performance, including scrap, rework, warranty data and cost of poor quality, recommending actions for improvement.
• Assess organisational capability to meet customer requirements, including performance, cost and capacity.
• Lead and influence cross-functional teams to foster a culture of quality and operational excellence.
• Contribute to planning, budgeting, resource allocation and improvement roadmaps.
• Support internal, customer and external audits.
Experience & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, quality, manufacturing or a related field.
• Proven leadership experience in quality management or a related operational role.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100 or similar.
• Skilled in using data and metrics to drive improvement.
• Experience in a regulated, engineering or technical environment is highly desirable.
• Eligibility to obtain relevant UK security clearance is required.
