Pratt & Whitney Aero Engines International GmbH (PWAEI), an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Raytheon Technologies Corporation (RTX), is an international aerospace company headquartered in Lucerne, Switzerland. PWAEI is collaborating with three other aerospace companies to produce and maintain the V2500 commercial aircraft engine, which powers the Airbus A320ceo and Embraer C-390 family of aircraft.

Pratt & Whitney Aero Engines International Services GmbH (PWAEIS), located in Venlo, The Netherlands, is managing the European Logistics Center (ELC) to support spare parts and production logistics for PWAEI and Pratt & Whitney (PW). To strengthen the team we are looking for a Quality Manager to drive the overall Quality and Compliance Culture at the ELC.

Areas of Responsibility include, but are not limited:
  • To drive the quality signature of the ELC establishing benchspan quality level (> 5 sigma).
  • To ensure adherence to both, Quality and Risk Management Systems (QMS and RMS).
  • To manage relationships and quality/compliance related requirements with external and internal parties to maintain all current AS9100 and FAA certifications.
  • To ensure processes/records meet requirements of all parties (IAE, PW, RTX, FAA, ISO).
  • To perform and support internal/external audits and maintain annual audit schedules.
  • To collaborate with international Quality and Global Trade Compliance teams.
  • To identify, compile and analyze KPIs including publishing monthly quality reporting.
  • To initiate, lead and assist with quality initiatives to continually improve performance and reduce escapes using CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) tools.
  • To drive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and our continuous improvement culture.
  • To monitor and maintain quality inspection training requirements/records, provide quality inspection training for 3PL personnel and manage/oversee inspection training process.
  • To maintain Quality Manual. local quality procedures and requirements flow-down.
  • To engage in growth opportunity initiatives/projects, mitigating risks and ensuring quality designed processes for successful implementations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably in Mechanical, Aerospace or Industrial Engineering or demonstrated working experience at this level.
  • Solid understanding of Quality Standards such as ISO9001 (AS9100 preferred).
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English language is a must.
  • Quality, Engineering, Inspection experience within relative manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to qualify for certification as FAA Organizational Delegation Authorization (ODA).
  • Experienced in continuous improvement strategies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Strong understanding of Quality systems and their impact on business environments.
  • Ability to work with associates at all levels throughout a multi-national organization.
  • Internal Auditor certification (Ref. AS9100/AS9120 or equivalent) desired.

What is my role type?

This position is within the Product Delivery & Customer Experience department, ensuring timely availability and delivery of parts from suppliers to customers. It’s ideal for a hands-on person with  Quality Management experience in a heavily regulated (aerospace/production) environment .

The job responsibilities are predominately performed on-site, Venlo and require international travel occasionally. Candidate must have legal authorization to work in The Netherlands.
