Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ownership of value stream quality metrics & integration into delivery and cost impacts
  • Develop specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest quality issues, technical developments, & business strategies. Contributes towards strategy creation & maintenance, and policy development, to ensure continuous improvement of quality metrics is achieved.
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Lead projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Engineering from an accredited university or college (or a Bachelors degree along with demonstrated experience with a minimum of 2 years in aerospace quality, or a high school diploma/GED, with a minimum of 6 years of composite manufacturing and Quality experience) + a minimum of 2 years composite manufacturing operations, team leadership, and aerospace supply chain experience.
  • Demonstrated organizational leadership experience in quality systems foundations and adherence, via industry requirements and audits.
