Description:This position is for a Technical Director within the Ground Based Air Surveillance Radar Chief Engineering organization responsible for the TPY-4 radar system programs, primarily focused on business development activities.

Leads technical scope on TPY-4 radar system capture and proposal activities. Develops a product roadmap for future development of existing products to meet domestic and international customer needs. Serves as focal point for the development and communication of the system architecture for proposal baselines. Ensures capture of mission requirements into proposed systems solutions, ensuring adequate representation of design and technology maturity of the system. Develops models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development. Supports internal and external design reviews. Presents to current and prospective customers and senior management and tailors the material based on the audience.

This role will require some domestic and international travel.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree
- Knowledge of Radar theory
- Experience working with and/or designing radar systems
- Experience with MATLAB
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship

- Experience writing technical proposals
- Understanding of the RF/Analog, Digital, and Software building blocks of a radar system
- Radar system performance modeling
- Radar system tactical data analysis
- Radar System Architecture Experience with TPY-4 product
- Ability to operate as the program engineering POC for Customers, Senior Leadership and the Program Office in a mentored environment
- Advanced Degree
- Effective presentation and communication skills, for audiences ranging from internal engineering teams, to internal executive stakeholders and the external customer community

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $128,900 - $247,000 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $148,200 - $279,300. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
