Gestion opérationnelle
Fournir un service de qualité supérieure aux compagnies aériennes clientes, conformément aux exigences de ces dernières.
Examiner les activités, les coûts dexploitation et les données prévisionnelles afin dassurer la progression vers les buts et objectifs de la station et de lentreprise.
Assurer un suivi opérationnel quotidien des performances et prendre des mesures immédiates pour remédier à toute insuffisance.
Administrer les politiques de lorganisation et superviser de manière responsable lensemble des tâches et des responsabilités confiées aux gestionnaires/superviseurs subordonnés.
Élaborer, examiner, mettre à jour et mettre en œuvre la planification stratégique de lentreprise, y compris les performances opérationnelles et financières et le développement de nouveaux produits/activités.
Veiller à ce que les tâches soient exécutées conformément aux procédures et politiques propres à lentreprise et à la compagnie aérienne.
Il est tenu de participer aux formations obligatoires imposées par la compagnie et les compagnies aériennes dans le cadre de ses fonctions.
Développement du leadership/responsabilité du personnel
Assurer la direction des relations avec les employés grâce à une communication efficace, y compris le coaching, les mesures disciplinaires et la reconnaissance positive.
Diriger la résolution des problèmes afin daméliorer les mesures de performance.
Assurer le mentorat des employés afin de constituer une réserve de main-dœuvre pour les possibilités de promotion.
Travailler en étroite collaboration avec le service des ressources humaines et le département SSE afin de proposer des programmes de formation et de développement efficaces.
Tenir léquipe de supervision responsable du traitement rapide et efficace de tous les problèmes liés aux employés, en mettant laccent sur lamélioration des performances et la documentation professionnelle.
Operational Management
- Deliver superior service to customer airlines according to airline requirement.
- Reviews activities, cost operations and forecast data to ensure progression toward station/corporate goals and objectives.
- Daily operational tracking of performance, taking immediate action to correct any shortfalls.
- Administer organizational polices and provide accountable oversight of all the duties and responsibilities thought subordinate managers/supervisors.
- Develops, reviews, updates and implements business strategic planning including operational and financial performance and new product/business developments.
- Ensures tasks are performed in accordance with the Company and Airlines specific procedures and policies.
- Required to attend the mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as it applies to the job role.
Leadership Development/ Personnel Accountability
- Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, including coaching, disciplinary, and positive recognition.
- Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilities improved performance metrics.
- Mentor employees to build bench strength for promotional opportunities.
- Work closely with Human Resource and SSE department to provide effective training and development programs.
- Hold supervisory team accountable for timely and effectively handling of all employee related issues, focusing on improved performance and professional documentation.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance for the attendance reliability program.
- Ensures no abuse of Company property occurs.
Safety and Security
- Responsible to ensure a safe working environment thought the compliance of all required Menzies Aviation Health & Safety regulations.
- Ensure station compliance with all federal, provincial, city, and airport rules and regulations including the posting of all government required documents.
- Responsible for the timely, accurate and detailed investigations ensuring they are handled along with setting clear expectations/accountability for process improvements.
Department Coordination
- Ensure clear and effective communication between the Administrative Office, Payroll and the Safety/Security and Education Departments.
- Responsible to coordinate staffing requirements with Station Administration for recruitment needs.
Physical Requirements:
Communication:
Application must have the ability to prepare correspondence and analytical documents to communicate both employees and operational related information. Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Manual/Physical:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to present ideas frequently in a public forum and needs to also demonstrate effective listening skills. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must have the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. This position also requires a great deal of walking and operating motorized vehicles. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Mental:
Applicant must be an effective time manager with strong organizational skills needed to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Other requirements include:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and drawn valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent investigative skills.
Other:
- Must be able to obtain and hold all required security clearances and pass the required back ground clearance.
- Must be able to work extended hours and flexible shifts when required which may include weekends and holidays
- Must have a valid G or G2 driver’s license and be able to obtain and hold a valid DA Qualifications and Experience:
- 7 years of progressively more responsible leadership experience in aviation management. Previous specializes training in personnel management is also mandatory.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and legally able to work in Canada.
- Must be able deal with complex, critical business issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer literate, solid knowledge of MS Office as well as other related programs
- Previous airline/aviation operational knowledge is required.
- Must also have a demonstrated ability to lead and direct employees and produce improved output results through subordinate staff.
- Extensive experience in Ramp Handling and good understanding of the Operational departments.
- Must be able to obtain and hold all required security clearances.
- Proficient knowledge of the IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement.
- Familiar with GOMs, Airline procedures, Airport procedures, Airport legislations
- Fully versed on International Aviation Safety and Security standards and passionate about promoting them within the organization.
- SLA driven to meet customer expectations by delivering excellence.
- A strong sense of stakeholder engagement. This includes, but is not limited to: Customer portfolio, Airport representatives, Local Airport Authorities, local third-party providers.
- Ability to develop the team, provide succession planning and re-engineer business processes as demanded by changes in the business.
- Ability to drive and deliver improvement plans and the relevant follow up process.
- Ability to identify productivity efficiency or inefficiency and tailor the operational demand based on the operational dynamics within the station.
- Adaptability with regards to working with a multi-national workforce and collaborating well with local working unions.
- Able to produce comprehensive reports to senior managers.
- Work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with employees, management, customers and outside institutions.
