Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Manage the parts stockroom inventory in Corridor Aviation Service Software.
  • Follow all stockroom procedures as defined in the Repair Station Quality Manual.
  • Issues Purchase Orders as necessary.
  • Inspects incoming parts per the Purchase Order requirements to meet standards set forth by the 14CFR 145 Repair Station.
  • Counts material, parts, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records.
  • Compares inventories to records or computes figures from records such as sales orders or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.
  • Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies.
  • Ensures timely delivery of all parts.
  • Notes all parts shortages and reports shortage issues to Repair Station Management Team.
  • Communicates regularly and clearly with the Repair Station Management Team and other internal departments regarding status of inventory and orders.
  • Prepares reports such as inventory balance, and shortages.
  • Stocks and issues materials.
  • Maintain clean and organized work environment.
  • Work and communicate with other departments as necessary to resolve part discrepancies and issues.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, 6-sigma, 5S and/or equivalent methodologies to continually make improvements in safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
  • Research parts availability within the Kodiak database (Epicor E10). 
  • Departmental administrative functions as required.
  • Initiate problem-solving resolutions using experience and judgment.  
  • Prioritize incoming and outgoing items based on repair schedule and company need.
  • Obtain and maintain a forklift license.
  • Complete shipping documentation as required per Company policy.
  • Process International Shipping.
  • Pack and unpack incoming and outgoing product.
  • Ensure paperwork is complete, accurate, and attached as required to incoming and outgoing product.
  • Utilize Kodiak systems and shipping/receiving programs to ensure appropriate shipping and receiving information.
  • Lift, move packages of varying weights to place in appropriate locations.
  • Adhere to the requirements of the 14CFR 145 Repair Station.

Profile and other information related to the position

Position Requirements:

  • Demonstrates truth, courage, discipline, and humility.
  • FAA A&P certificate strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Epicor E10 and Corridor preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years demonstrated exceptional customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Windows and MS Office Suite required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High degree of professionalism.
  • Must be process orientated and able to work efficiently.
  • Familiarity with aircraft industry terminology, basic aircraft nomenclature and standard practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, engineering drawings, company policies and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or visitors of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; is occasionally required to stand and walk; is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear; is regularly required to lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Proper lifting technique is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually very quiet. This position requires exposure to manufacturing areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection is required.
