The incumbent will manage the Rome City Ticket Office / Reservation and Sales Support Centre, with responsibilities over all B2C and B2B communication channels, as well as Airport operations if required. The incumbent will support the General Manager and Commercial Managers in all Sales and Commercial activities.  The incumbent will support all booking/ticketing activities for the whole Southern Europe Region (Portugal / Spain / Italy / Greece and Cyprus).

Accountabilities:

  • Manage our Rome Contact Centre / Reservation Centre and all its activities 
  • Responsible for our direct Customers Reservations and enquiries 
  • Updates and monitoring of the web content (local homepage), web support duties
  • Support to our Key Account Agents (help desk)
  • Groups Reservations & Ticketing 
  • Closing, Authorizing, and auditing of local ATSR 
  • Monitoring the Contact Centre Traffic and activities while ensuring KPI are maintained.
  • Support Check in and Airport ticket offices during hours of operations 
  • Responsible we deliver on our annual revenue targets for direct and web ACO sales. 
  • Review & distribution of B to C Newsletters, and B to B Flash info to travel agents. 
  • Coordination of sales events
  • Conduct Price Benchmarking / inventory analysis 
  • Monitoring Sales via BSPLink and assign ticketing authority 
  • Preparation & updates of product presentations for the sales team.
  • Preparation of figures and data to support review meetings and sales strategic decisions
  • Support other markets in the Country Manager’s portfolio if required.

Qualifications

  • Tourism diploma/degree
  • Sales support & reservations/ticketing experience (3 years) preferably with airline or tourism industry
  • Strong knowledge of GDS
  • Internet, emails, Word; Excel proficiency and use of ALTEA reservations system

Working Conditions: 

  • Permanent Full Time position
  • Ability to work in Italy 
  • Office hours (Monday to Friday)
  • Position based in Rome

Conditions of Employment:

Linguistic Requirements

Excellent level of written and spoken Italian and English. Spanish, Portuguese, Greek and French an asset.
