Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Resource and Competence Manager to join our join our Manufacturing department based in Mobile, AL

As a Resource and Competence Manager you will help develop a road map for planning the training on 300&43; employees. Working with both programs this role will be responsible to ensure we have trained employees to meet the requirements of the customer line. This role will coordinate with HR, Training, Operations and quality. This role will also work with an international team on a cross program qualification project.

Nearby on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your challenges

  • Build a road map to ensure that new hires get and maintain their qualifications on both the A220 and A320 programs

  • Prepare PDR reports for flight line operations to send to quality department for self inspector and delegated inspector qualifications

  • Manage all PDR’s for up to 300 employees

  • Create a database to manage and maintain all operational recurrent training for the year

  • Ensure that competency levels are met and maintained for the ramp-up requirements on both the A220 and A320 programs

  • Manage and maintain poly compliance and polyvalence for up to 300 employees

  • Lead monthly poly-poly review with the flight line leadership team

  • Coordinate with HR to ensure that A220 flight line operators get scheduled for required GenFam training, background checks and drug screenings for their FAA Part 145 Repair Station Certification

  • Manage application process for “K” numbers to new hires on the A220 program ensuring access to required tools (HMS/MES) are given

  • Manage the planning of new hires with the training department to ensure time between onboarding and qualifications to work on the aircraft are utilized effectively

  • Strategically schedule training for certifications that will be expiring soon ensuring not to impact daily resource requirements

  • Ensure operational leaders staffing requirements are met within the ramp up time frame

  • Maintain KPI’s for headcount and qualifications for up to 200 employees

Your boarding pass

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field

  • Proven experience in resource management and competence development, preferably in a project driven environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • 3-5 years experience

  • G-Suite
