Job Summary

Manage a team of Master Schedulers and Shop-floor Schedulers.

Responsible for the execution of the monthly Operations Supply Planning (IBP) activities, the weekly MPS activities and the daily execution through Shop Floor Scheduling.

Facilitate decision making process in order to balance demand and supply with a consensus plan integrated to site financial and operation plans.

Responsible for the deployment of all Planning and Scheduling related standards, tools, and metrics.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the management of the Planning team (leadership, target setting, performance review, talent management, organizational planning, recruiting/on-boarding, training and development)
  • Responsible for the first level of IBP Integrated Reconciliation between Integrated Program Teams (IPT) and site Planning Organisation.
  • Collect and compile all inputs supporting the Operations Capability Review. This includes understanding demonstrated performance, management of assumptions, integration of time phased continuous improvement plan, preventative maintenance plan, master data metrics, and forward looking capacity matrix.
  • Ensure that MPS is feasible and meets Program requirements within site and supplier / subcontractor capacity while at same time satisfying site Inventory targets,
  • Liaise with IPT to get consensus about Customers Past Dues forecast,
  • Ensure the MPS includes scheduled downtime (e.g. routine maintenance) and any new program development / prototyping,
  • Ensure the MPS is balanced regarding internal and external resources capacity and optimized to achieve lowest overall operational costs,
  • Consolidate the MPS of each production area and support the Site Supply Chain Manager in running weekly MPS meeting,
  • Ensure Shop Floor Scheduling is aligned to latest customer demand, consistent with MPS and using the most adequate techniques to support on time delivery at the optimal level of inventory and cost.
  • Ensure relevant KPIs are monitored and PDCA approach applied with A3 in case of deviation to ensure targets are delivered in a sustainable way (e.g.: Master Schedule Adherence, Customer Past Dues, Days Inventory Outstanding),
  • Related APQC items:
  • Depending on the size of the site, responsible for the process Plan Operations
  • Accountable for the process Schedule Production in site scope.
  • Responsible, in site scope, for the Planning processes and the coordination of stakeholders/functions involved in the following: Plan for and align supply chain resources, Plan production operations, Schedule production,  Schedule production operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years Supply Chain Management/Logistics with direct production planning responsibilities.
  • APICS Basics of Supply Chain Management (BSCM) or equivalent,
  • Expert for Forecasting & Demand Planning, Operations Supply Planning (IBP) / MPS / MRP, Daily Scheduling & Execution, Master Data Mgt., Leveraging IT solutions
  • Strong skills in leading teams in the analysis of complex business and systems problems, identifying improvement alternatives, and implementing solutions.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external customers, associates, departments, and other teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APICS CPIM certified or equivalent
  • Working knowledge in Cincom Managements System planning module.
