Required Education, Experience, & Skills Education and Experience Requirements:
Required: A High School diploma or GED equivalent, coupled with a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience on board an SSDS-equipped platform (e.g., CVN, LHD, LPD, LHA).
Preferred: Within that experience, a minimum of 2 years (may be concurrent) serving as a Combat Systems Maintenance Manager (CSMM) or Combat Systems Officer of the Watch (CSOOW), leading a team in the employment and maintenance of ship self-defense systems as part of the Combat Systems Training Team (CSTT).
Technical Skills and Qualifications:
Required: A minimum of 3 years of technical experience with the SSDS Integrated Combat System, including the responsibility for bringing the combat system from a cold-iron status to full operational capability for testing.
Required: Demonstrable technical knowledge and hands-on experience with multiple SSDS variants (Mods) and baselines, such as:
- SSDS Mk 2 Mods 1-6
- SSDS Baselines 9, 10, and 12
Core Competency: Must possess the technical expertise to manage the Combat System Maintenance Manager organization and effectively troubleshoot and maintain the integrated system, which includes horizon and volume search radars (e.g., SPQ-9B, SPS-48/49), and associated weapon systems like the Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) and Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM).
Security clearance requirements: This position requires the successful candidate to be able to obtain a Secret level clearance. The criteria for obtaining and holding a clearance are driven by US government requirements. You must be a US citizen to obtain a security clearance. Selected candidate will receive a contingent offer and start date will be delayed until an interim Secret clearance is granted.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Highly desired, but not required:
Active DoD security clearance
Experience in an RDT&E environment
Knowledge and experience with ACCESS and TRMS
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $72150 - $122655
