Job Summary:
The Sales Director, Industrial Products is responsible for leading the Industrial Products Team to drive profitable growth for Arconic Rolled Products North America. Under the guidance of the VP Commercial, Industrial and Commercial Transportation North America, the incumbent helps develop and align the >$500M annual sales strategy for the Industrial sales business with Rolled Products North America. The incumbent cultivates a high-performance selling organization with a focus on driving efficiency and effectiveness to optimize value added customer engagement.
In this role, you will:
Recommend sales and service strategy for the Industrial spanet while delivering on profitable growth and cash optimization objectives.
Oversee and manage a team of Account Managers, who have defined customers and who are responsible to cultivate new relationships.
Deploy and execute approved sales strategies by directing the efforts of the Account Managers in the pursuit of profitable growth.
Monitor and report on achievements and forecasts. Regularly evaluate and adjust based on spanet dynamics and capacity fluctuations.
Develop customer intimacy with key and strategic customers leading to maximized conversion revenue and profit margin for both transactional and contractual business. This involves encouraging the team to develop an in-depth understanding of the customer’s decision-making process, utilizing new, value-added products and services, and implementing recommended actions to obtain positive sales results.
Lead the commercial contract negotiation with our Industrial customers with the support of our Legal department up to the signature of the sales agreement.
Manage sales team within budgeted levels to ensure cost-effective, influential relationships are in place.
Coordinate with global stakeholders across disciplines (Marketing, Business Development, Plant leadership, Technology Center) to support attainment of business objectives.
Travel Required: 25-50
This role assumes a leadership role in assuring all sales activities are carried out safely within the framework of Arconic’s corporate policies and fully incorporate the Arconic values. The Sales Director must have highly developed interpersonal skills. The incumbent must have demonstrated ability to develop and execute detailed sales plans, ability to motivate others, and ability to establish and maintain positive customer relationships.
You have:
- 5 years in commercial leadership role in Industrial spanets
- 10 years of experience in sales for metal manufacturers or distributors
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
Exceptional Candidates also have:
- Masters degree from an accredited institution
- 7 or more years in commercial leadership role
- Deep financial acumen
