Job Description:

Job Purpose

To support the development and optimization of Air India Expresss seasonal scheduling, ensuring it is closely aligned with the airlines broader strategic, operational, and commercial objectives.

To work on the entire process of integrating and coordinating seasonal schedules across various internal departments and external stakeholders to maximize efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities

Scheduling

Support the lead in designing and implementing the schedules for operating aircraft as made available by network planning/operations/engineering teams

Revise the operating schedule in line with changes in business requirements

Allocate aircraft with optimized schedules to achieve savings in aircraft fuel, optimize ground time & maximize aircraft utilization

Ensure all statutory requirements are complied with & operational constraints are met; complete compliance to all company SOPs in deriving the optimized schedule

Work with the lead on optimizing the summer and winter schedule of flights to maximize revenue generation

Track and monitor number of flight cancellations and delays and continuously highlight the same to respective departments

Work cross-functionally with CMS, Flight Ops, IOCC, Ground Ops to ensure feasibility of schedules, and minimize cost of operations

Ensure accuracy of schedule updates and put in place systemic guardrails to enhance accuracy and responsiveness of scheduling systems

Publish & distribute the planned schedule with all the stakeholders as per agreed timeline.

Utilize advanced scheduling software to refine schedules continuously, based on aircraft availability, spanet demands, and operational requirements.

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

Engineering	Coordinate to ensure that the network plan is operationally feasible, aligning flight schedules with aircraft availability.
Airport Operations	Coordinate to ensure that the network plan is operationally feasible, aligning flight schedules with airport resource availability
Operations (Cabin Crew, Pilots, Inflight Services, IOCC etc..)	Coordinate to ensure that the network plan is operationally feasible, aligning flight schedules with crew and aircraft availability.
Cargo	Align network strategy with the airlines broader commercial goals and transformation initiatives.
External Interfaces
Government / Airport / Regulatory Authorities	Maintain compliance with aviation standards Support relationships with key external stakeholders to optimize operational efficiencies, enhance service delivery, and ensure compliance with international regulations.
Airline Partners	Collaborate on joint ventures and codeshare agreements to expand network reach.

Educational and Experience Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement	Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business Administration or Aviation Management or a closely related field is required. A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Experience	2.5 years’ experience in network planning & scheduling	3 years’ experience in the aviation industry
