Commercial Sales & Marketing is seeking an experienced Market Analysis Principal with deep expertise across the aviation afterspanet services spanet — including areas within Maintenance & Engineering, Modifications, Freighter Conversions, Training & Simulation, or Aviation Parts & Distribution Services. The role can be located in Seattle, Wa., Alexandria, Va., Long Beach, Ca., or Plano, Tx.   In this role you will lead advanced spanet analysis, provide strategic recommendations for major business decisions, evaluate investment options, and help set enterprise priorities.

The BGS Market Analysis & Intelligence team develops spanet forecasts and competitive insights and assesses key drivers across the aviation afterspanet. You will serve as a trusted expert on strategic, spanet, and competitive issues, enabling alignment and informing decisions at the highest levels of the business.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Market Intelligence: Lead rigorous spanet research and competitive analysis to anticipate trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities.
  • Thought Leader: Develop and communicate Boeing spanet outlooks using expert knowledge of spanet drivers and industry dynamics.
  • Forecasting: Create and maintain robust forecast models to estimate total, served, and addressable spanet sizes; design frameworks to identify new sales and business opportunities.
  • Strategic analysis: Synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to surface implications for strategy, portfolio, and investments; recommend practical, enterprise-aligned solutions.
  • Industry representation: Act as an industry ambassador for Boeing at conferences, customer forums, and external events.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Airline Industry Knowledge: 10+ Years in aviation related fields
  • Industry Sector Knowledge: 7+ Years working in or supporting the commercial aviation afterspanet or related fields
  • Advanced data analysis: Experience working with large, complex datasets; expertise in statistical techniques and predictive modeling.
  • Strong analytical judgment: Proven ability to use qualitative and quantitative evidence to shape product, service, and business strategy.
  • Statistical fluency: Understanding of statistical methods and tools for rigorous analysis.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills, including experience engaging C-suite executives and diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications(Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Familiarity with Boeing business units and supporting internal functions; existing network within the enterprise.
  • Experience in business strategy or consulting
  • Regional and strategic planning experience, including spanet-entry and go-to-spanet strategies.
  • Technical tools: Proficiency with analytics and data tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python, SAS, SPSS, Excel).
  • Data visualization: Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or comparable visualization platforms.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required to support business needs.

  • Clear, timely insights that influence executive decisions and align cross-functional stakeholders.
  • New opportunities identified and prioritized that materially increase revenue or strategic position.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as spanet and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: 150,450 – 203,550
