Role PurposeThis position is responsible for executing the sustainability agenda for Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) by leading and driving the execution of strategic Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) sustainability initiatives and programmes across the group and its divisions. This role ensures alignment with clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targets outlined in the scorecard, in line with the MAG Sustainability Program, and proactively manage and drive these efforts to achieve the organisations sustainability goals.
Key Accountability- Support cross-divisional ESG sustainability initiatives with Group functions and Business Units by overseeing the evaluation and execution of strategic plans ensuring alignment with the MAG Sustainability Blueprint.
- Lead waste management efforts across the Group, including: development and execution of waste reduction strategies (e.g., recycling and upcycling initiatives), monitoring and reporting of waste generation and diversion performance, supporting compliance with local waste regulations and global best practices, collaborating with other Business Units to reduce operational and inflight waste.
- Champion Circular Economy initiatives by identifying opportunities to extend product life cycles, support reuse and upcycling programmes, and work with vendors/partners to embed circularity principles across the business.
- Engage proactively with internal stakeholders to identify and resolve sustainability-related issues, ensuring effective follow-through via structured meetings and action tracking.
- Support annual production of the Sustainability Report and foster robust engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish robust tracking and monitoring mechanisms for the execution of sustainability initiatives across all Group functions and business units, providing comprehensive progress reports to management.
- Ensure comprehensive readiness for all sustainability-related governance meetings and prepare all necessary reports for the senior management team.
- Provide essential support to the Group Sustainability Office on ad-hoc projects and strategic assignments as required.
Qualifications & Working Experience- Bachelor’s Degree in Environment/ Finance / Economics / Business Administration or a relevant discipline with at least 3-5 years of relevant working experience in sustainability.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI is an added value.

- Knowledgeable on key ESG sustainability issues and areas of focus (i.e., social sustainability, sustainability reports, etc.).
