As strategic, creative and agile partners and storytellers, the Public Affairs and Global Communications team develops, implements, and executes internal and external communications strategies that proactively contribute to the companyu2019 success, engageand connect employees, strengthen the reputation of CAE and its brand and propel our tech evolution.

The role we are offering you:

A member of the Global Communications leadership team and reporting to the Vice President, Public Affairs & Global Communications, the Senior Manager is responsible for shaping and communicating the companys narrative to diverse stakeholders worldwide. A role with high impact and influence, this leader will drive strategic initiatives to enhance the companys reputation, manage external and internal communications and drive impactful public relations campaigns. This role requires an experienced professional with exceptional communication skills (preferably in both French & English).

Through cross functional collaboration, this leader will drive communications strategies with autonomy and excellence for two distinct portfolios: the Global Technology and Products group and the Environment, Social, Governance and Stakeholder engagement group.

  • Lead and coach a team of communications professionals to develop, implement and execute comprehensive public affairs and communications strategies on a global scale, aligned with the companys mission, vision, and business objectives;

  • Drive thought leadership initiatives by identifying speaking and media opportunities, producing engaging content, and building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally to amplify the companys presence and message;

  • Draft, review and supervise the dissemination of press releases, media kits, speeches, and other materials to convey the companys key messages accurately and compellingly;

  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on communication matters;

  • Develop engaging communications and support various company-wide communication channels and vehicles (newsletters, presentations, blogs, etc).

  • Develop concepts and review content for a wide range of communications tools.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • A Bacheloru2019s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing Communications, or related discipline;

  • 8+ years of work experience in internal/external multi-channels Communications/Public Affairs, and minimum 3 years of experience leading teams with proven ability to inspire and be a positive team player;

  • Strong collaborator, with ability to manage priorities to deliver multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously and seamlessly;

  • Ability to interact on a daily basis with executive management team;

  • Bilingual with outstanding verbal and written communications, proofreading and editing skills in both French and English, and the ability to convey messages through clear and concise writing;

  • Business acumen and ability to navigate ambiguity;

  • Experience in managing media relations and social media presence an asset.
