POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Mgr. of MRO Centers is a business leader for sites with overall responsibility for development and delivery of excellence in customer services, business development and growth, profitability, alignment with all corporate objects, efficient utilization of corporate assets, employee development, growth and efficiency with effective utilization of the action plan and compliance with directions provided by the Board of Directors.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Provide leadership to FLL MRO organizations and staff in FLL EEJS Business Units.
  • Meet /Exceed customer requirements (7 promises) for quality, cost, on-time delivery and overall satisfaction.
  • Provide clear and concise communication to ensure there is a global understanding of the company and business unit goals and objectives (PA pillars, MRO short / long term strategic / tactical plans)
  • Provide a focus on global world- wide standard operating procedures for all Embraer Owned Service Centers and Associates where applicable.
  • Create a working culture that supports teamwork inter and intra departmentally across the company and various geographical regions / territories.
  • Provide the necessary leadership to create a customer centric culture and organization, leveraging all world-wide Best Practices
  • Develop and Implement policies and procedures that will maximize operational efficiency (productivity)
  • Responsible for ensuring all Country Specific Aviation Maintenance Regulatory Requirements are adhered to or met.
  • Works closely with the Managers, EEJS to coordinate actions with other Sites and consistency with corporate objectives.
  • Participates in long-range planning for growth opportunities and present new business proposals to the MD and COO for approval.
  • Provides input to the annual budget process for each functional area and ensure effective measurements to assure goals are achieved and cost objectives are met.
  • Evaluates performance of key personnel and participate in their professional development.
  • Performs public relations functions for the company and develops a working relationship with customers’ and vendors’ officers.
  • Establishes departmental standards, goals and objectives, and promotes adherence to and achievement of same.
  • Assure customer satisfaction is measured and improvements and corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Assures that organization structure and personnel headcount and financial investment are consistent with workload and established goals. Assures that adequate and proper procedures for staffing are in place.
  • Develops and implements with Managers, EEJS operating methods and procedures to facilitate smooth workflow.
  • Approves equipment, tools, and facilities required to accomplish departmental tasks and coordinates their acquisition with Material Services, Engineering, and other appropriate departments.
  • Establishes departmental standards, goals and objectives, and promotes adherence to and achievement of same.
  • Promotes customer relations by responding to customer inquiries and concerns regarding maintenance work.
  • Monitors work performed in all Hangars to ensure quality output.
  • Ensures adequate manpower levels.
  • Oversees the development of a cross-utilization training program for technical personnel to refine present skills and teach new skills that will enhance employee versatility and productivity.
  • Analyzes and regularly appraises the effectiveness of Maintenance Operations as compare to production forecasts.
  • Participates in management’s review and assessment of proposals for major capital expenditures.
  • Assist in the establishment of the annual budget for Hangar Operations and ensures that budget goals are achieved and cost objectives are met.
  • Ensures the availability of competent personnel for the proper operation of the Hangar; sees that they are properly trained and fully informed.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education:

  • BS or BA Undergraduate Degree typically required in a related field of study.
  • A&P license.

Experience:

  • Senior Manager, responsible for the management of two (2) or more major individual components of a major business function. Generally fifteen (15) years or greater experience in People Management. Experience required as a political representative of the company interests with members on Capitol Hill and related government agencies.
  • MRO facility (establishing and administering production schedules, planning/developing new business opportunities, budgets, asset utilization, personnel management, customer/vendor relations, establishing facility goals, establishing/ managing technical personnel cross-utilization plans.) Prior depot level aircraft maintenance and repair experience. Desired: Prior work experience in executive jet repair facility.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of FAA regulations & safety protocols, knowledge of repair quality benchmarks, statistical analysis, aviation repair tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of Embraer aircraft products; planning (PA process management), finance fundamentals (budget & analysis), people management (HR guidelines, tools & policies),
  • Value based management fundamentals (Shareholder Satisfaction x Customer Satisfaction x Employee Satisfaction), employment law (sexual harassment, disability, discrimination, labor laws, etc.), business vision & competitiveness (Managing innovation, the customer service, growth, and creativity),
  • Internet explorer, Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access)
