Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Demand Planning – North America position at Worldwide Flight Services oversees the Demand Planning team which focuses on monitoring workforce strategy and ensures optimal staffing levels at WFS serviced airports. The GM ensure that the right employees with the right skills are operating at the right time to align for short and mid-term operational needs. The Senior Manager, Demand Planning must be able to lead a team of Planning Managers as they work to create efficiencies in the operation and analyze station productivity. This is position provides strategic oversight and prioritizes team workload to ensure alignment with company strategy and all of the WFS stakeholders. The Senior Manager, Demand Planning works with Senior WFS Leadership to create the Demand Planning strategy as it relates to workforce and equipment planning. Experience in process improvement, relationship building and leadership are musts for the successful candidate. The position will ensure that the Demand Planning team is continuously improving in its processes and elevating its product output through collaborative generation and execution of new ideas. The Senior Manager, Demand Planning will also oversee and collaborate with business units on time and motion/process studies of WFS operations, along with the implementation and management of approved labor standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Planning Managers in the development, maintenance, analysis, and execution of labor and Ground Service Equipment models for Cargo & Airport Operations.
  • Work with the WFS Finance & HR team to ensure that hiring, budget, and staff planning processes are aligned with the operation.
  • Collaborate with WFS stakeholders to implement and manage approved labor standards.
  • Manage the creation of staffing models based on historical data, truck schedules, tonnage forecasts, and time studies.
  • Forecast manpower and GSE requirements for budgeting and provide updates based on changes to schedules and work processes.
  • Monitor efficiency of WFS operations and work with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and present findings to Senior Leadership.
  • Manage the administration of WFS planning systems and ensure its optimal usage across the network and amongst stakeholders.
  • Develop and mentor the Demand Planning team.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with leadership and communicate recommendations for optimal coverage of the WFS operation.
  • Assist with the implementation of technology improvement initiatives to streamline demand planning and reporting functions.
  • Oversee manpower analyses to determine the operational and/or financial impact of changes to standards, union rules, safety requirements, new technology, outage and attrition trends, and cargo volumes.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Project Management, Finance, Accounting, or other Business-related field.
  • Master’s degree and/or MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of total experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a planning or analytical function.
  • At least 4 years of leadership experience
