Reporting to the Director, Sikorsky Communications, this is a full spectrum communications role supporting a dynamic and high visibility portfolio within Lockheed Martin. This position provides strategic counsel and supports the execution of integrated communications plans for the Sikorsky aircraft line of business. The successful individual will be responsible for comprehensive communications plans for all major programs and pursuits within their portfolio, which includes Army & Air Force Systems and Global Commercial Systems, along with next-generation capabilities.

Working in close coordination across the larger Lockheed Martin Communications department, this position will also oversee Sikorsky media and marketing efforts and serve as the lead spokesperson during crisis communications.

In addition, this position will support the Sikorsky Business Development Vice President and advise on communications strategies that support business growth, including leading all international communications in close coordination with Corporate Communications team.

The successful candidate will serve as an advisor within the team, providing coaching and mentoring to Communications employees to develop their skills, talents and achieve their potential.

This is a hybrid role that will require attendance onsite approximately 2 days a week and/or as business needs require.
Basic Qualifications:
Extensive external communications experience in areas of media relations, marketing, digital and crisis communications.

Prior leadership experience.

Strong writing, editing and verbal communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in clear, compelling ways.

Experience developing and executing multi-facet campaigns in support of new business pursuits.

Strong reporter and PAO relationships.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
