As the Sr. Manager of Strategic Accounts at Signature Aviation, you will be the driving force behind our organizations most unique and complex customer relationships. Your strategic vision and leadership will be instrumental in understanding key client needs, developing customized growth plans, ensuring successful execution, and coordinating efforts across all internal teams and functions. This role is highly visible and cross-functional, requiring a balance of commercial acumen, operational insight, and relationship management to deliver optimal outcomes and support Signature Aviation’s and our top customer’s continued business growth.
- Strategic Relationship Management
- Develop a deep understanding of strategic customers’ business objectives, challenges, and spanet dynamics.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key client stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
- Promote and maintain client relationships through regular sales calls, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and on-site visits to customer locations and airports.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products or services to meet evolving client needs.
- Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution
- Lead internal collaboration across departments including Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, Safety, Marketing, and Customer Experience to ensure alignment on client strategy and execution.
- Serve as the internal advocate for strategic accounts, translating client requirements into actionable internal plans.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with General Managers and field leadership, promoting a unified, customer-first culture at all service locations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to proactively resolve client issues and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
- Account Performance & Reporting
- Monitor account performance, track key client metrics, and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Conduct business reviews and deliver strategic insights that inform client and internal decision-making.
- Anticipate risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to protect and grow customer relationships.
- Support contract negotiations, renewals, and pricing discussions in alignment with business goals and client expectations.
- Team Leadership
- Directly manage and mentor one team member, providing clear guidance, development opportunities, and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative, results-driven team environment that aligns with Signature Aviation’s values and culture.
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Aviation Management, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience in strategic account management, enterprise sales, or client success, preferably in aviation, transportation, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of the private/general aviation business and the challenges customers face in this space.
• Demonstrated success managing complex, high-value relationships and driving long-term growth.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into strategic action.
• Prior experience managing or mentoring team members.
• Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Additional knowledge and skills:
• Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing business trends and performance
• Functional experience or knowledge of private aviation operations, and ability to problem solve along with operational teams and customers to achieve optimal outcome
• Working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics
• Advanced skills required in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
