Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting leadership opportunity in the BGS Parts and Distribution Services Strategy and Business Development team for a Senior Manager, Strategy and Business Development (Level M) in Plano, TX.  This team is responsible for strategy and growth of our parts and distribution services business by identifying and unlocking new opportunities

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options:  Plano, TX.

The Opportunity

  • Progress our Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence Center of Excellence capabilities through data science, new intelligence sources, and creative analysis. 

  • Turn feedback into action by leading Voice of the Customer activities focused on optimizing the customer experience. 

  • Lead the team responsible for identifying, evaluating, and recommending new adjacent business opportunities across the Distribution Services market through organic and inorganic investment / partnerships.

  • Manage the group’s Innovation Framework and associated projects to incubate and mature the highest value, most strategic opportunities.

  • Lead an annual Growth Focus Areas exercise to identify and prioritize growth initiatives.

  • Partner with key Boeing stakeholders to establish new market strategies and business models.

  • Leverage key enterprise initiatives to identify potential services enablers and opportunities.

  • Manage the prioritization and execution of BD projects using the applicable elements of Program Management Best Practices.

  • Expand the capability and usage of our data/information aggregation platform to accelerate information sharing and drive efficiencies.

  • Collaborate across functions, including with Sales & Marketing, Product Line Management, Supply Chain, and Operations.

  • Cultivate a team culture based on teamwork, quality, and SSL (Seek, Speak, and Listen).

We need a Senior Manager to join our team and bring the following:

  • Exceptional Leadership: Provide strong people & team leadership skills to develop talent across a multi-site team. This key responsibility will include but not be limited to recruiting, mentoring, skill development & evaluation, internal training, and talent management

  • Growth mindset.  An action-oriented optimist grounded in reality that finds joy in developing themselves, teams, colleagues, and the business through dedication and hard work.

  • Status quo agitator.  The ability to rapidly assess situations to build an understanding of strengths and weaknesses associated with existing business and operating models within a competitive market, then collaborate with others to chart a course towards what better could/should look like.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Required Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher, with a minimum of 10 plus years of work experience

  • 5+ years of experience performing similar role

  • Previous experience in managing/leading teams

  • 5+ year experience in the aerospace distribution industry

  • Ability to travel to support business and team requirements (approximately 10-25)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • MBA highly desired

Summary pay range: 186,150 – 251,850
