Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level L) to lead within the Cutter Tool Service Center in Auburn, Washington.

The successful candidate will provide oversight and have responsibility of 7 first line managers with cross functional responsibilities including Supply Chain, Engineering and Operations across a team of approximately 155 members.

The candidate will manage operational excellence, leading through One BPS, creating an Incident and Injury Free culture, foster an inclusive work environment and meeting affordability targets. The candidate will lead through critical optimization studies and projects underway including IP Kitting and integration into the KITS system. This position is key to the success of the CTSC organization as well as meeting the goals and objectives of our Fabrication team.

This leader will also promote employee engagement and build an organizational culture that fosters safety and quality performance, improves employee satisfaction and retains a skilled and motivated workforce.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.

  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines.

  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.

  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Ability to provide periodic support to the team in Everett, WA as needed.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing employees.

  • 5+ years of experience advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience using lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement practices and tools.

  • Experience leading systematic problem solving.

  • Experience in building a culture of safety and quality.

  • Emotional intelligence and resilience.

  • Experience in an aerospace, manufacturing and fabrication environment.

  • Knowledge of the Boeing Production System (BPS).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary Pay Range: $141,300 - $172,700
