Senior Pricing and Revenue Manager
Based in Budapest
Purpose of the position:
The Senior Pricing and Revenue Manager will lead a team of 2 to 3 managers, driving revenue optimization initiatives and delivering budgeted revenue targets for a portfolio exceeding 1 billion. The primary objective is to maximize revenue by optimizing the total fare (including ticket and ancillary pricing) and load factors across each route, ensuring customers receive “the right price at the right time.”
This role requires development of deep spanet insight and a strong understanding of how spanet trends and competitive dynamics influence pricing decisions. The Senior Manager will be accountable for developing and applying this knowledge to guide strategic pricing actions. Additionally, they will mentor and support their team in implementing best-in-class pricing practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
Yield Management:
- Monitor daily sales trends and competitive activity to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
- Analyze performance drivers and recommend actions to mitigate revenue shortfalls or capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Oversee and lead promotional initiatives within the assigned region.
- Apply data-driven decision-making combined with deep spanet understanding to optimize pricing strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all performance-related inquiries within the region.
Innovation:
- Contribute to projects aimed at automating Pricing and Revenue Management tools
- Collaborate with Data Science and IT teams to enhance processes and reporting systems that support team productivity
- Drive breakthrough initiatives on Revenue Management field to improve revenue generation.
Others:
- Prepare presentations and strategic recommendations for senior leadership
- Lead, participate and/or represent the Pricing and Revenue Management team in cross-functional projects, as assigned
- Partner with teams such as Marketing, PR, e-Commerce, Network Development, & Scheduling to maximize revenue generating initiatives
- Coach and develop junior members of the team, promoting best practices in Pricing and Revenue Management best practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-7+ years of experience in a similar role (pricing, strategy, consulting, etc.) and working with and interpreting data and analytics, ideally in travel industry
- Proficient in MS Excel/PowerPoint. Additional technical skills a plus: PowerBI, SQL, etc.
- University degree in business, economics, engineering, sciences or other analytical field
- Fluent spoken / written English
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Team player and leader, able to work with and lead cross-functional projects efficiently
- Ability to work under pressure and comfortable with uncertain and rapidly changing business environment
- Proactive, willing to take initiative and shoulder responsibility
- Limited travel required (approximately 10 of working time)
